After graduation, we had to leave Rexburg, Idaho. It was a sad day, but we were excited for the next chapter in our lives. We stopped at my parents, and ended up staying a little longer than anticipated while we continued searching for jobs. After the most stressful decision, we were on our way to our next adventure.
"seven years ago i moved into this house. i was hesitant to ever called it home, moving during my high school years. i've since graduated high school, got married, had a baby, and graduated college. during those years this house became home. this summer kevin, eden and i were able to make even more memories with my family here. it's hard to leave. my heart aches knowing that we're off to create our own home and start a new adventure. but i am forever grateful for the time i have been able to spend here."
And before we made the plunge into real adulthood, we thought we'd make a few pit stops.

"it's not too often you see a baby at the narrows, at least this far out. but she didn't mind it, and either did we. it's our favorite place and we had to stop and share it with our favorite little girl."
"three rules to camping: no bibs, no baths, no bows. maybe that's why all the ukrainians thought she was a boy."
We decided we'd camp overnight. And boy was that the best decision. Eden LOVED it. We had such a blast with her. She loved the dirt. Almost as much as she loved the sand in Florida. She ate like a champ, slept like a champ, and played like a champ. It definitely gave me the confidence to go again.
It was nothing fancy. I mean, what can you expect, our car was loaded with everything we'd need for the move. We didn't have a tarp, or any pads for the tent. So Eden got the only blankets in the load, including the sleeping bag, and slept on that. Kevin opted for his work shirts as pillows and blankets, and I got my bundled up leggings and sleeping bag-bag for a pillow.
We ate out of cans warmed up on the fire, Campbell's beef stew to be precise. We also may have grabbed one to many snacks at Walmart on our way down.
We laid out while Eden slept and looked at the stars.
I don't know if there's anything I love more.

"eden and i were newbs at the grand canyon, but kevin showed us around. he backpacked in and out when he was 10 years old. people dream of doing that, and work to train their bodies to be able to. guys. he was 10! maybe we'll take little eden on her 10th birthday, at least that'll give me enough time to get into shape... maybe."
She even noticed the view, and wouldn't stop pointing.

But can you blame her?
